Personal Tutors
Supporting key skills can act as a way for you and your tutees
to get to
know each other, so they feel able to discuss any problems
they are experiencing. It can also act as an indicator of
problems, which may be exacerbated by the students' lack of skill.
Ultimately you want to empower students to deal with their own
difficulties - one way of doing this is to encourage them to develop
their skills and draw on their strengths.
