Editorial work includes: (with Uberto Limentani) Ugo Foscolo, Opere (Edizione Nazionale), vol. XII (Florence 1978); (with John Hale) The Travel Journal of Antonio De Beatis (London 1979); Italian and Romanian sections of The Year’s Work in Modern Language Studies (1990-2006); the poems set to music in four vols of the Fondazione Monteverdi edition of the composer’s works (Cremona, 2002-08);
commitments include: a critical edition of Benedetto Croce’s Storia d’Europa
nel secolo decimonono for the Edizione Nazionale of Croce’s writings; and
Ugo Foscolo, Epistolario, vol. X (1825-1827), which completes the edition
of his correspondence.
