Launch of the Cyber Security Challenge

ISRS hosted the launch of the Cyber Security Challenge at UCL's Department of Engineering, on 26 July 2010.

The Cyber Security Challenge is series of national online games and competitions that will test the cyber security abilities of individuals and teams from every walk of life.

Baroness Neville-Jones, Minister of State for Security, delivered the keynote address to an international audience of students, practitioners, business-people, policy-makers and media.

Cyber challenge stalls

Attendees also visited and discussed four stalls presenting the competition's different strands: network defence, digital forensics, website vulnerability, and a winners' masterclass bringing all these together.

Digital forensics
The Minister of State for Security discusses digital forensics with representatives of the Defence Science & Technology Laboratory and the US Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center.
