Wireless Infrastructure Migration

Between Monday 5th September and Wednesday 14th September 2011, the wireless infrastructure at UCL will undergo a migration which is essential to the future development and scalability of the eduroam and UCLGuest wireless services at UCL.

 

To reduce the potential impact the migration will be staged. During the migration, for the staged location, all wireless services should be considered unavailable between 08:00am and 10:00am and further at-risk for the remainder of the day.

 

Furthermore, users of the RoamNet Wireless service (RoamNet Wired will be unaffected) must migrate to eduroam. More information on how to migrate can be found at: http://www.ucl.ac.uk/isd/common/wireless/roamnet/transition/

 

We have tried to stage the migration based on physical location. However, for a short period of time users may experience roaming issues when moving between a migrated and yet-to-be migrated location (or vice-versa).
