Will Myriad replace WTS?

No, it is more of a complement. Cluster WTS works well for many users. However, increasingly there has been a desire for a more versatile service option, particularly relating to multimedia requirements, while still enjoying the benefits of a secure, centrally supported service.

This prompted the development of Myriad. Cluster WTS will continue to be a service provided by IS.

There are many benefits to using WTS, one major factor being the convenience of being able to access WTS remotely, from outside of UCL.

WTS can also be accessed from within Myriad itself.
