Android - HTC Sense UCL email setup

 The below instructions are for HTC Andorid Devices running HTC Sense:

• HTC Desire
• HTC Desire HD
• HTC Desire Z
• HTC Wildfire

1. From the Home screen select the Mail icon (this can also be found on the All apps menu):
   
   

   

2. On the Choose a mail provider screen, select the option Other (POP3/IMAP). On the next screen tap the button Manual setup:
   
   

   
3. Select the protocol IMAP and then enter in your account information i.e. Email address, UCL User ID and Password (if you are a POP user, select POP instead).
   
   
4. Enter in the UCL Incoming Mail server:
   
   IMAP: imap2-server.ucl.ac.uk
   POP: pop2-server.ucl.ac.uk
   

5. Ensure that the Security type is set to SSL - the port should automatically change to 993 (or 995 if connecting to POP. Select Next to continue:
   
   

   
6. On the Outgoing server settings screen, tick the Login required box and then enter in your UCL User ID and Password.
   
   
7. Enter in the UCL Outgoing Mail server: smtp2-server.ucl.ac.uk
   
   

8. Set the Security type to SSL - the port number should automatically change to 465. Select Next to continue:
   
   

   

9. Finally enter an appropriate account name and your display name. Select Finish setup to complete setup:
