OWA - Junk email

At UCL, we tag junk email with {SPAM?} in the subject line. You may notice such messages in your Inbox and these can usually be removed without any need to open them.

In OWA, email that is identified as possible junk email is also automatically moved to the Junk E-mail folder, and any active content within the message, such as links or executable content within the message is disabled.

You need to use the Block or Allow tab to help control unwanted and unsolicited messages by creating and managing lists of email addresses and domains that you trust and those you don't.

Block or Allow is found in Options.

Click on Options (top right corner), then See All Options > Block or Allow (on left hand side).

Safe Senders and Recipients [External link for more information]
Add senders you trust and recipients that you don't want to block to this list. Email from these senders or to these recipients will never be treated as junk email. Safe recipients include groups that you're a member of and from which you want to receive email messages. You can also add individual email addresses to your Safe Senders and Recipients list. A recipient is the intended destination of a message. A recipient can be a specific person or a group.
