Set up live@UCL with other email programs
Important: Before you can set up your email program to send and receive your Live@UCL email, you MUST log in to your Live@UCL account via the Outlook Web Access first and confirm your details. If you fail to do this, you will not be able to successfully set up your email program.
You can set up one of the programs below to send and receive your live@UCL email on your own computer in Exchange Mode.
Please note: The ISD Service Desk can give full support to the Outlook Web Access (OWA) interface for sending/receiving your Live@UCL email. The Service Desk cannot provide full support for the following programs on your own computer. Help is given on a best efforts basis.
What is the difference between Exchange and IMAP modes?
Exchange Mode - provides full functionality of E-mail, Calendar and Contacts
- enables you to synchronise E-mail, Calendar and Contacts with your iPhone, iPad, Windows Mobile & Android-based phone.
- provides the facility to share Mailboxes, Tasks, Contacts & Calendars.

IMAP - E-mail only
- Enables you to check ONLY email. Calendar access will need to be via the Outlook Web App (OWA)
