e-learning at UCL

E-learning is learning which is supported or facilitated by the use of technology.  It can include allowing students to access lecture materials and activities online, online assessment, communication tools, audio and video recordings, and classroom technologies such as personal response systems and interactive whiteboards.

The primary system for supporting e-learning at UCL is Moodle - UCL's 'virtual learning environment', but there is also growing use of video and audio recordings both of classes and of student work, personal response systems and, increasingly, social or 'Web 2.0' software such as blogs, wikis and media sharing sites.
