Whoops! I've forgotten that great new password. What now?

Main UCL passwords:
User Authentication Systems (UAS)

ADS passwords

Main UCL passwords are held on the system in an encrypted form, so it isn't possible  to tell you what your password is if you forget it. However, the ISD Service Desk can generate a new password for you.

It is now possible for the ISD Service Desk to issue you with a new password over the telephone. IS have developed a User Authentication System that allows you to be identified and your new password issued to you over the telephone. If you wish to register for this service please read the information carefully and fill in the online registration form.

Otherwise you will need to apply directly - in person - to the ISD Service Desk. Passwords cannot be changed over the telephone unless you have registered for the User Authentication System described above. You will need to produce a recognised UCL identity card when you come to the Service Desk.

The newly generated password will take a couple of hours to spread to all IS systems, so you may not be able to login immediately.

REMEMBER YOU MUST KEEP YOUR PASSWORD SECRET. IF YOUR ACCOUNT IS MISUSED YOU MAY BE HELD RESPONSIBLE
