FAQ
Wireless access Computers at UCL

You can connect to central IT services in a number of ways but you MUST have a UCL userid & password. Students will be issued with this when they enrol – contact the ISD Service Desk if you don't know where to pick up your IT registration slip.

There are open-access computer workrooms across campus and associated sites. These are open for drop-in use when they are not booked for classes during normal working hours. Some open for extended hours with a few available on Saturdays but none are open overnight. Workroom computers run Windows-based services.

Using your own computer?

You can connect your own machine to the UCL network from Halls of residence or via our wireless service on campus.

You can pick up your email and use our Windows service from anywhere in the world providing you have an internet connection. Our Windows service (WTS) gives you access to a wide range of software and to your personal space on the central filestore.
