Reducing the length of a title

To reduce the length of a Folder/Silva document title which appears in the breadcrumb trail below the UCL banner:

Cf the title of this page with the breadcrumb trail...

1. Ensure you are in the Contents screen.
2. Click on the relevant file or folder.
3. Click on the Properties tab.
4. In Short Title, type a shorter version of your title.e.g. If your site is called Centre for Rehabilitation, you could give the short title CFR
5. Click on Save.

To reduce the length of a Folder/Silva document title which appears in the left-hand navigation:

1. Ensure you are in the Contents screen.
2. Click on the relevant file or folder.
3. Click on the Properties tab.
4. In Long Title, make the title a bit shorter. e.g. From 'The Centre for Rehabilitation of Long-Suffering Adults' could become 'Centre for Rehab'
5. Click on Save.

NB: You will need to re-publish the page for the result to be visible.
