Using Dreamweaver (Apache)
All personal websites at UCL are built with Dreamweaver and your URL will have your UCL userID at the end e.g. http://www.ucl.ac.uk/~xxxxxxx
Dreamweaver is a powerful web authoring tool enabling creation of sites containing graphics and multimedia elements. It supports web technologies such as CSS, JavaScript, and various server-side scripting languages and frameworks including PHP.
If you do not have any experience with using Dreamweaver to create web pages, then we suggest that you book on to a Silva training course to get you started.
What should I do now?
- Apply for an Apache account
- Book on a Dreamweaver training course
Templates (with UCL Banner) for Dreamweaver
- see lower left-hand 'Further Information box: zip-file
- Good practice guide
- I'm not sure if I should use Dreamweaver or UCL's Content Management System, Silva: email web-support@ucl.ac.uk
