iPhone\iPad\iPod Connection guide
This guide will take you through connecting your iPhone, iPad or iPod O/S to your live@UCL E-mail account.
You can enjoy full synchronisation of Calendar, Contacts & E-mail through the live service.
iOS 6
Step 1. Go to Settings.
Step 2. Choose the option Mail, contacts & calendars.
Step 3. Under accounts section, choose Add Account.
Step 4. Choose the Microsoft Exchange option.
Step 5. Now you will need to type in your credentials.
E-mail – Your live@UCL userid e.g ccaaxxx@live.ucl.ac.uk
Username - Your live@UCL userid e.g ccaaxxx@live.ucl.ac.uk
Password - Your live@UCL password
Description - Anything you wish, maybe use something like UCL Live Account
Step 6. Click Next to proceed. Your iPhone will now verify your details
Step 7. You now have an options screen which allows you to customise which of the four options, live@UCL Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders you wish to synchronize with your iPhone. Click Save when done.
Step 8. You will now see an exchange account within your mail option. Complete.
iOS 5
Step 1. Go to Settings.

Step 7. You now have an options screen which allows you to customise which of the four options, live@UCL Mail, Contacts, Calendars and Reminders you wish to synchronize with your iPhone. Click Save when done.
Step 8. You will now see an exchange account within your mail option. Complete.

Step 1. Go to Settings.
Step 2. Choose the option Mail, contacts & calendars.

Step 6. Click Next to proceed. Your Iphone will now check your details.
Step 7. A Message may appear prompting you to validate the @ucl.ac.uk address. Click Details and then verify to bypass this.
Step 8. At the main exchange account settings screen, click Next.
Step 9. You now have a options screen which allows you to customise which of the three options, live@UCL Mail, Contacts & Calendars you wish to synchronise with your iPhone. Click Save when done.
Step 10. You will now see an exchange account within your mail option. Complete.
iOS3
Step 1. Go to Settings.
Step 2. Choose the option Mail, contacts &
calendars.
Step 3. Under accounts
section, choose Add Account.

Step
6. Click Next to proceed. Your Iphone will now check your
details.
Step 7. A Message may appear suggesting a certificate is not valid. Press accept to bypass this.
Step 8. You will then be returned to the credentials screen whereby you need to enter information within the Server field. Please type in the box, pod51002.outlook.com. Click Next.
Step 9. At the main exchange account settings screen, click Next.
Step 10. You now have a options screen which
allows you to customise which of the three options, live@UCL Mail,
Contacts & Calendars you wish to synchronise with your iPhone.
Click Save when done.
Step 11.
You will now see an exchange account within your mail option. Complete.
Information
The following information will prove helpful for those really wanting to retrieve more data from their live@UCL account on their iPhone. These options are fully customizable.
1. The default default calendar should be set to the live@UCL account and not the iphone calendar. This way appointments created on iphone go straight into the live@UCL calendar.
2. Mail to Sync - Should be set to 1 month.
3. Calendars - Synchronisation should be set to at least Events 1 month back
