I still can't send emails! Change the port number

If you have followed the instructions, and are still unable to send emails, you will need to try an alternative port number.

  • Click on Tools > Account Settings
  • Select Outgoing Server (SMTP)
  • Select the SMTP server and click Edit
  • Change the Port number to 465
  • Under Use secure connection, select SSL
  • Click OK to save changes.
