Email
attachments are a handy way to share files, but not the most efficient.
Sending large attachments can cause problems for the recipient and
conversely receiving attachments can quickly use up your email quota.
It
is therefore a good practice to save any attachments to your Central
Filestore area and, if possible, remove the attachment from the email.
Attachments and viruses
Attachments are the most common way of spreading viruses. Do not open an attachment unless you are 100% sure it is genuine, even if it appears to come from someone you know. If in doubt, check with the ISD Service Desk.
