Multimedia Support

Media Services provides the following multimedia support and creative services:

  • ImageStore - a web based image library containing images for use across UCL. You're encouraged to add your own images to share with either individuals, your department or UCL.
  • Media Capture and Encoding - a service for digitising multimedia for delivery via the web or on CD/DVD.
  • Streaming media - a service providing a streaming media server to enable you t8 November, 2007 elements into your course materials either on a website or within a WebCT course.
  • Videoconferencing

ImageStore

ImageStore is the name of UCL's image library. It is a web based image library containing images for use across UCL. You're encouraged to add your own images to share with either individuals, your department or UCL. Visit the ImageStore website to access the service and find out more.

Media Capture and Encoding

Media Services provide a service for digitising multimedia for delivery via the web or on CD/DVD.

Downloadable and streaming media

ISD will be lauching a new service in 2009/10 to convert audio and video files into downloadable or streaming formats so that users can access them easily via Moodle, iTunes U, websites or DVD/CD.

Videoconferencing

Media Services provide facilities across campus for holding video conferences with people both at UCL and outside. Videoconferencing training is available for staff wanting to find out more about the videoconferencing facilities.
