For both consistency and compatibility we advise both staff and students to download the software version you use at UCL rather than the latest one.
Updating Windows or Office (UCL Staff)
You should contact your local IT Support when updating Windows or Office. No support is given to the use of this software and installation is done on a best efforts. We strongly advise you to follow the installation instructions associated with each download.
Microsoft Office 365
Office 365 provides the functionality for licensed users to download Microsoft Office products and provides the licensing for iPad Office users.
Office Professional Plus 2013 or Office 2011 or Office for iPad at no charge to students.

STATA 14 was released at the beginning of April. ISD will be carrying out a consolidation of all departmental STATA 14 upgrades and new licenses purchases at the beginning of May.

Call for applications to be installed on Desktop@UCL and Desktop@UCL Anywhere for teaching in 2015/16
Please submit your requests for
applications to be installed, or upgraded, on Desktop@UCL and Desktop@UCL
Anywhere for teaching in 2015/16 by completing our web form
before Friday 1st May 2015. If you don’t tell us what applications you
need by 1st May, there is a risk we may not be able to have your application
ready for the start of term.
If you know you require an application for Term 2 in 2015/16, but have not yet finalised your choice of application or specific version, please, still inform us of this by the 1st May, so that we can plan our resources accordingly. There is a deadline of Oct 1st for finalising the details of requests for Term 2.

From 21 February 2015 you will no longer be able to purchase licences for Adobe CS6 and will need to purchase an annual licence for their new Creative Cloud instead.

There is a new Nvivo 10 key available to replace the key that will expire in February 2015. The new key will last until February 2016.
