Instructions

Print from your mobile devices using your UCL email account

Important: The maximum size of attachments sent to Mobile Print is 20MB.  Each attachment should be sent as a separate email in order to ensure you stay below this limit.  Anything above this size will be automatically rejected by the server and will not print.

1.  Send an email with the documents attached that you would like to print, to Mobile Print.

Note: You can only attach certain file formats of documents to mobile print. Supported documents types include: Microsoft Office (Excel, Powerpoint .ppt only, Word), OpenOffice, PDF, JPG, GIF, PNG, TIF, TXT.

If the file format is not compatible it will not print your job.

2.  Documents you send to print are automatically sent to the Print @ UCL print queue and you can release your job by swiping your UCL ID card at one of the devices.

Note: Jobs sent to the mobile print queue will only print out in A4, double-sided, mono.
Please only send a print job once to the email address. If you do not see your print job on the printer display it will be waiting in a queue to process. Sending of duplicate jobs may cause further delays.

Sending a mobile print job from an external email provider (e.g. Gmail, Yahoo mail, etc)

The first time you send your print job, you will receive an email back asking you to register your email address with the printing system.

Note: Don't forget to check your spam box just in case the registration email has been classed as spam by your email provider.
