Instructions

Using a Xerox Multi-Functional Device (MFD)

1. On your computer you will need to send the document you want to print to the print-ucl queue. The way you do this will depend on what kind of device you are using but the process will be something similar to File > Print.  If you cannot see the print-ucl queue in the list of printers available you will first need to add the queue.

2. At the device where you want your document to be printed, swipe your UCL ID card.

3. You will be presented with the following menu options:

  • Copy;
  • Email;
  • Pull Print.

4. To print, touch the Pull Print button. The window then displays all the jobs you have waiting to be retrieved.

Tip! If you sent a number of jobs, the most recent will be displayed at the top of the list.

5. Select the document you want to print which will be highlighted on the display area and touch the Print button on the bottom left of the screen.

5a.  Once the document is selected, to increase the number of copies use the counter button on the bottom right of the display area where is says copies.

5b. If you have sent several documents to the printer that you wish to print at one time select print all.

6. Touch Back to step back a menu or click the Home button (top left hand corner) to return to the Home menu.

7. If you have finished, remember to log out! Either swipe your card again or hit the button with a diagram of a key that is lit up in green on the top right hand area, followed by the log out button on the display area.
