What is My Account?

The MyAccount service offers a number of password related functions in one location.  It also includes the User Authentication Service which you are encouraged to register for.

Change password

Allows you to change your password.  You will need your userid and current password to do this.

Change expired passwords

Allows you to change the password on your account that has automatically expired in the last 7 days.  Passwords must be changed every 150 days, as the deadline approaches several reminders are emailed to your account.  If these are ignored and the password isn't changed it will automatically expire.  If you can remember the password prior to expiry and the password was reset within the last 7 days you can use this option to change the password.

Find my userid

Allows you to to retrieve your userid by entering your UPI and date of birth.  This facility is available to named accounts only and does not work with role accounts.

Register for User Authentication Service

The User Authentication Service allows you to use a memorable word and number to set a new password if you do not know your current password.  After logging in with your userid and current password you will be asked to supply a memorable word and a memorable number and an optional hint for both.  Once registered for the service you can then use these details to validate yourself online to set a new password in the event that you have forgotten your current password or it has been automatically reset more than 7 days ago.

Use User Authentication Service to set a new password online

If you have previously registered for the User Authentication Service you can enter your userid and date of birth you will be prompted for 2 characters from your memorable word and two from the number.  If entered correctly you will be able to set a new password.

Generate a token

Time-limited tokens can be generated by authorised ISD Computer Reps who will be able to generate tokens (which consist of 4 blocks of 4 characters) for any user account within the departments they look after.  These are valid for a set duration which is selected when the token is generated and a reason must be given.

Use a token to set a new password online

If you have been issued with a token you are able to enter your userid, date of birth and token to validate yourself and then set a new password. Be aware that tokens have an expiry date/time by which they must be used.
