eduroam, the JANET Roaming Service (JRS) *, is a free
wireless service which is available throughout UCL and at participating Higher Education
(HE) institutions. Your home credentials (i.e. UCL userid and password)
are required to log on to this service.
Are you:
- Staff/Student at UCL & using eduroam at UCL? See the Connection Guides (requires UCL userid & password).
- Staff/Student at UCL using eduroam at a participating HE institution? See external Guide.
- Member of a participating HE institution using eduroam at UCL? See Visitor Guide.
Other Services
UCLGuest is a wireless
service specifically designed to provide external visitors with access to the
Internet. This service is provided over the existing wireless
infrastructure, wherever eduroam is available, the UCLGuest service can

Departments can install their own wireless services. However, the
installation of any wireless service is subject to the UCL policy on
connecting equipment to the college network. More information...
RoamNet As of 14th September 2011 the
RoamNet Wireless service was discontinued and succeeded by eduroam. The RoamNet Wired service
will continue to operate until further notice. More information...
