Adobe Licensing has changed and is moving towards a subscription model in this page we will explain the differences.
UCL used to be able to purchase perpetual licenses for all Adobe products on the current version available. The current perpetual licence is CS6 and has been for at least a year. Adobe has no plans to upgrade this type of licensing to CS7 and it is expected to phase this licence out in the future.
The New way of licensing Adobe, is by a yearly subscription model called Creative Cloud for Education. Which will give you access to the latest updates at no extra cost for the year.
You have two options when purchasing this license either by Device or Named-User licensing. A Named user licence will allow you to install the software on up to 2 devices for the named user.
Products available for the new Creative cloud licensing are:
Creative Cloud Complete which includes
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Acrobat XI Pro, Muse, Audition, bridge, Edge, Encore, Fireworks, Flash, InCopy, Lightroom, Media Encoder, Preluide, SpeedGrade.
Individual Apps are:
Audition, Muse, After Effects, Dreamweaver, Edge Animate, Edge Inspect, Flash Pro, Illustrator, InCopy, InDesign, Photoshop, Prelude, Premiere Pro, SpeedGrade
