Introducing the Silva Content Management System (CMS)

Description:

This is an introductory course for those who wish to create and edit web pages in the Silva Content Management System (CMS).

You will learn how to navigate in Silva, how to create and edit pages, make internal, external and email links and insert images.

The next Silva Course, Silva Plus, will require you to be familiar with the above basics so please practise the skills you've learned and get used to Silva before registering for Silva Plus.

 Pre-requisite (1)
You should be reasonably confident in using IT. An understanding of basic web design would also be helpful. It is essential that you have good file management skills for this course. If you need training in file management, please book a place on our Effective File Management course.
 Pre-requisite (2)

From February 2014 we are asking people to complete an online course in advance of attending. This course is in Moodle, UCL's Virtual Learning Environment. The course will make you familiar with basic Web terminology and introduce you to a number of web-related issues. You can do the course as often as you like, but must pass the final test to receive an electronic certificate allowing you to attend.

You must complete the online course in the link below in advance and pass a Final test.
