Further Unix

Description: This course introduces techniques in manipulating data files with UNIX.

Pre-requisites:

A good understanding of basic command line techniques such as creating text files, copying, moving and deleting files, and navigating the file structure is essential.  You are recommended to attend A Quick Introduction to Unix to gain these skills if you don't have them already.

  • Selecting rows of data
  • Selecting columns of data
  • Cutting and joining data
  • Transforming and translating data elements
  • Piping commands
  • A first look at SED and AWK

Delivery:  Trainer Led
