Advanced queries in Access 2010

Description:

This course is aimed at Access users who need to extend their knowledge of designing queries in Access.

Note that this course can be attended by people using Access 2007.  There are some differences between the two versions but most features are the same.

Pre-requisites:
You should have attended, or be familiar with the concepts covered in, the Creating Queries in Access course and the Designing and Developing Databases in Access course.

Outline:

  • creating crosstab queries
  • inner and outer joins in multiple table queries
  • using action queries to create new tables and add new records
  • using action queries to update and delete records
  • grouping and aggregate functions
  • calculated fields
  • using query wizards to find duplicate and unmatched records
