Pre-requisites:
You should have a basic understanding of Windows and be able to use Microsoft Word. You will also need to understand the citation of different materials and have some knowledge of literature searching.

Delivery: self-paced
This is a self-paced course which you can complete either on your own or
at an IT drop in session. To get advice on how to use these materials

The course assumes that you are using Reference Manager on UCL's WTS 2000 system. For guidance on access to WTS see this page.
The tutorial sequence guides you in studying the course materials - an on-line PDF - and provides exercises for you to practise and consolidate what you learn. The exercises do not cover all the material in the manual and while you study you should use Reference Manager and follow the explanations as you go.
If you wish you can also print all the exercises for reference.

Video tutorials
You can follow video tutorial material for reference manager here but you will notice that these are for versions 11 and 12. There are some small differences between versions but most of the functionality covered in this course is the same in these different versions.
