Endnote: Bibliography Management and On-line Databases

This course is for EndNote X4 users who would like to learn how to create library databases, use Metalib to search Databases and import references from online library databases. The course starts with a quick introduction to Endnote basics to enable you to store and edit bibliographic data, generate bibliographies in different formats and integrate with Microsoft Word for citation in different styles. After consolidating this basic understanding the course continues with an introduction to the use of on-line reference databases (including PubMed, Web of Knowledge, PsychInfo etc) using Metalib - the UCL library system. Once the Metalib is understood the course concludes with a more basic look at importing directly from resources not available through Metalib. |
Pre-requisites:
A basic understanding of Microsoft Windows and good file management skills.
