UCL Computer Security Newsletter - July 2006
The purpose of this newsletter is to keep all security reps and other
interested parties informed about what is happening around UCL
regarding computer security. Further information from the Computer

1. Institutional Firewall
It is UCL policy that all departments will be protected by the
institutional firewall. There will be a short break over the summer
in placing departments behind the firewall because of the work
involved in the machine room move. The scheduling will resume in
2. Security course
The UKERNA security course will run on the central campus on
Wednesday 16th August. This course is now fully subscribed (anyone
who has not yet sent their cost code, please do so NOW or your places
will go to those waiting). Attendees will get their place
confirmed and details of location later this month.
