Moving UCL's Datacentre Services
UCL’s central onsite datacentre will be demolished in early 2017 due to major works in the Euston area. This is one of the drivers of UCL’s datacentre strategy to migrate its datacentre services to new onsite and offsite facilities.
This significant migration programme will ensure robust, secure and sustainable hosting for UCL’s IT Services.
Work is well underway
The future UCL datacentre service has been carefully planned to meets UCL’s current and future needs:
• A major new datacentre has been established outside London
• UCL’s Bloomsbury datacentre facilities are being consolidated
• Affected cable ducts and fibre are being relocated.
You will be kept up to date on the migration process as it progresses.
