Network Group

The Network Group is responsible for the day-to-day operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and expansion of the UCL Network. The core purpose of the Network is to present all 45,000+ network devices with an individual point of presence to access or provide UCL Network services (e.g. web and email), access to the JANET Network, and ultimately the Internet. Network Group has 3 sections:

  • Network Operations

Responsible for the day-to-day running of the Network and supporting end-users.

  • Network Development

Responsible for the design and development of the Network.

  • Network Connectivity

Responsible for the installation and maintenance of all Network data cabling.
