Introduction to Skills Development and the Research Student Log - 29th Oct, 14th Nov and 30th Jan
The Graduate School
will be holding three Induction sessions for new research students and their
supervisors on the Skills Development
Programme and Research Student Log.
The aim of the Induction is to show how the
Skills Development Programme and the Research Student Log can be used as
powerful tools to enhance the quality of students' research work from the very
beginning of their degrees and benefit their future careers.
The programme aims to provide an outline of UCL policy on skills training and the national Researcher Development Framework that informs our programme. The Induction demonstrates how the web-based Research Student Log and the Skills System function and work together, and how students may record their academic progress and the skills activities in which they have participated.
The three Induction sessions in 2012/13 are:
- Induction session 1 Monday 29 October 2012, 15.00–17.30 in Darwin Lecture Theatre
- Induction session 2 Wednesday 14 November 2012, 14.00–16.30 in Cruciform Lecture Theatre 1
- Induction session 3 Wednesday 30 January 2013, 14.00–16.30 in Christopher Ingold Auditorium
Students need to register to attend the Induction. Please register for only one of the sessions (supervisors don't need to register).
