Lecture with Dr. Michael Shackleton chaired by Prof. David Coen

On Wednesday, February
1, 2012 IPAS Academic Events will be hosting a lecture on "Britain and the European
Union" by Dr. Michael Shackleton, former head of the European Parliament Information
Office in the UK. Having
worked in the EU for over 30 years, Dr. Shackleton has published widely
about the European institutions as well as other Community topics. In
addition,
he was responsible for the creation of the European Parliament web TV
channel, known as europarlTV, which was launched in 2008.
The talk will
be chaired by Professor David Coen and will be followed by a
discussion/Q&A. The event will take place in the SPP
Council Room at 5.30pm. This will be a great opportunity for all those interested in Britain and the EU.
