MSc Clinical Ophthalmology
The MSc/ Postgraduate diploma / Postgraduate certificate in Clinical Ophthalmology is suitable for Doctors in Ophthalmic training posts, Ophthalmologists in Trust Grade positions, qualified and experienced Optometrists and Orthoptists.
It is designed to provide the highest quality clinical ophthalmic teaching and to accommodate the demanding clinical timetables of ophthalmic professionals.
The programme will enhance participants’ knowledge of common ocular diseases, ophthalmic surgical and laser procedures, clinical anatomy of the eye and ocular therapeutics.
Participants will also develop analytical skills useful for problem solving of clinical cases and the critical evaluation of published research.
Practical skills will also be covered relevant to achieving the ST1 / ST2 competences required by the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
The course is also useful preparation for the Part 1 FRCOphth and Refraction Examination Certificate.
