Post-Polio Muscular Atrophy

Poliomyelitis 

Medline NLM definition: an acute infectious disease of humans, particularly children, caused by any of three serotypes of human poliovirus (POLIOVIRUSES, HUMAN 1-3). Infection affects the gastrointestinal tract and nasopharynx, but frequently is asymptomatic. The CNS is affected in exceptional cases, leading to paralysis.

Charity providing information, help and support for people who are diagnosed with myositis and their families, and practical advice and research into Dermatomyositis, Polymyositis, Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Inclusion Body Myositis.
