We receive more than 200 muscle biopsies annually from adult patients and provide a diagnostic service and support the mitochondrial disease and the McArdle’s disease NCG services.

Our molecular pathology service offers tests for brain tumour markers, such as 1p/19q in oligodendrogliomas, MGMT promoter methylation in high grade gliomas and BRAF fusion tests.

The Dubowitz Neuromuscular centre specialises in neuromuscular disorders affecting individuals in the paediatric age.

Our pathology service provides the diagnostic neuropathology for Congenital Muscular Dystrophies and Congenital Myopathies.
