MRI physics

Dr Nikolaus Weiskopf

The laboratory pursues brain research by means of functional and structural imaging. The laboratory is equipped with a 1.5 T whole body scanner (Siemens Sonata), a 3 T head scanner (Siemens Allegra), a 3 T whole body scanner (Siemens Tim Trio inc. 32-ch head coil), an MEG system (CTF/VSM), two EEG systems (one being MR compatible) and an MR compatible TMS system.

The physics group supports ongoing research projects by developing innovative MR imaging techniques, novel data processing methods, software for the presentation of stimuli, and MR compatible hardware components.
