Professor Eleanor Maguire elected Honorary Member of the Royal Irish Academy

We are delighted to announce that Professor Eleanor Maguire  (Deputy Director of the Wellcome Centre for Human Neuroimaging, UCL Institute of Neurology) has been elected an Honorary Member of the Royal Irish Academy, Ireland's leading body of experts in the Sciences and Humanities.

Eleanor is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and a Fellow of the Royal Society.  She has won a number of prizes for outstanding contributions to science, including the Ig Nobel Prize for Medicine - awarded for research promoting the public awareness and understanding of science, the Cognitive Neuroscience Society Young Investigator Award, two Wellcome Trust Senior Research Fellowships, the Royal Society Rosalind Franklin Award, The Feldberg Foundation Prize, and the Dargut and Milena Kemali International Prize, and an alumni award for research, innovation and impact by University College Dublin (UCD).
