Visit to the Berlin School of Mind and Brain

For the second year in a row the Berlin School of Mind and Brain invited members of the Education Unit and four Institute of Neurology PhD students (Thomas Moens, Camilla Nord, Roman Praschberger and Svenja Espenhahn) to their annual poster presentations for their doctoral students, held on the 5th December 2013. The event was a huge success with much discussion and interest raised from all the posters presented, and the hospitality shown by everyone from the Berlin School of Mind and Brain was truly overwhelming. In particular we would like to thank Dr Inken Dose and Dr Dirk Mende for all their efforts in organising this trip, the poster presentations and for making the group feel so welcome. 

Along with attending the poster presentation event the IoN Education Unit discussed options for future collaborations between both institutions, starting with an ERASMUS agreement being put in place for September 2014. This will add to the links already forged between the two institutions, which started with the appointment in 2010 of Professor Ray Dolan as the visiting Einstein Professor at the School of Mind and Brain Sciences.
