Professor Brown gives Annual Stroke Association Royal Lecture

Professor Martin M Brown (IoN Department Brain Repair and Rehabilitation)  gave the 6th annual Stroke Association Royal Lecture in the presence of HRH Princess Michael of Kent at Spencer House on 15th November 2011.

Professor Brown spoke on ‘Arterial Disease and Stroke’ and in his talk discussed the prevention of strokes that result from narrowed arteries caused by deposits of cholesterol in artery walls, the value of clinical trials and how they help choose the best treatment for individual patients, giving examples from studies he has organised from UCL with funding from the Stroke Association and other bodies.
