PPI workshop on setting up and supporting a lay panel

Date: Wednesday 25 May 2016, 9.30am-12.30pm

This workshop will help researchers to:

• Be clear about why you are involving patients and/or members of the public in this way
• Be clear about the role of patient representatives
• Explore some of the benefits and challenges of this type of involvement - from the perspective of researchers and of people who have acted as patient representatives on research committees or steering groups
• Plan how to involve people effectively
