Award for Professor Chris Frith

Congratulations to Professor Chris Frith, Emeritus Professor, Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging  on being awarded the 2009 Fyssen International Prize.


Professor Malcolm Grant, President and Provost of UCL said:

"Warmest congratulations to Professor Chris Frith upon being the winner of the 2009 Fyssen International Prize. This is a truly exceptional achievement. Fyssen is a French Foundation that promotes scientific inquiry into the cognitive mechanisms, including thought and reasoning, which underlie animal and human behaviour ; their biological and cultural bases, and phylogenetic and ontogenetic development. It prize is awarded annually to a scientist who has conducted distinguished research in the areas supported by the Foundation such as ethology, paleontology, archaeology, anthropology, psychology, epistemology, logic and the neurosciences. The Foundation offers a range of research grants and post-doc study grants, but only one prize."
