Campus and facilities

IOE Library and Archives

UCL Institute of Education Newsam Library
IOE Library and Archives, the largest education library in Europe, offers long opening hours, online access and help from skilled librarians.

IOE students and staff also benefit from free admission to other UCL libraries, the University of London library and the British Library, all within walking distance of our campus.

Students' Union UCL run shops, cafés, bars and social activities across UCL.

The IOE is home to The Institute Bar, which serves food and drinks throughout the day and provides a comfortable place to socialise from daytime to evening.

IT Services provide support via a helpdesk and out-of-hours service, giving 24/7 cover.

WiFi connectivity (Eduroam) is available across the campus. Networked computers and printers are open to students for private study in the library and 5 dedicated computer rooms.

We collect and display artwork created by our students and staff; by schools and colleges, and by professional artists.

Explore more facilities across UCL's Bloomsbury campus - access academic resources, entertainment and culture, and quiet contemplation. The Prayer Room can be found at its temporary location in Room 794 of the IOE building as a major project to refurbish and modernise our campus is currently underway.
