- IOE-Fulbright Awards
Applications for 2017-18 IOE-Fulbright Awards for masters students and teachers from the USA are now closed. Details on applying for the 2018-19 awards will be available in March 2017.
The IOE is delighted to be a partner of the US-UK Fulbright Commission.
Our partnership means we can jointly provide two awards to US students each year:
- An annual Postgraduate Student Award for masters study at the IOE.
- An annual Distinguished Teacher Award, under which selected teachers carry out a secondment to the IOE as part of their award programme.
For the Postgraduate Student Award, the IOE covers the student's tuition fees and stipend for one year of full-time Master's level study. The IOE Fulbright award is an exceptionally prestigious distinction, and attracts a world-class field of candidates.
For the Distinguished Teacher Award, successful candidates receive a Fulbright grant to cover their flights, accommodation and food for the duration of the programme. The IOE provides academic mentoring and a range of practical support, as well as waiving any tuition fees for special courses undertaken by the award-holder.
Who can apply?
Citizens of the USA, provided they reside outside the UK.
