Relocation to Charles Bell House complete

7 December 2017

Wellcome / EPSRC Centre Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) researchers and professional services staff have officially relocated to Charles Bell House as of Thursday 7 December 2017.

The building has been fully refurbished to deliver a new centre for world-class scientific research. It will be the first time that engineers, researchers and clinicians from UCL School of Life and Medical Science (SLMS), the Centre for Medical Imaging and Institute of Healthcare Engineering will be working together under one roof on ground-breaking collaborative research projects.

The new facilities available include a mixture of permanent and hot desks across 248 desk spaces, a student hub, teaching and seminar spaces, the latest technologies and specialist laboratories including an integrated test operating theatre.

Charles Bell House is an Edwardian building located on Riding House Street, W1W 7EJ. It is named after the Professor of Physiology, who gave UCL's first inaugural lecture in 1828.

The date will be marked with a welcome drinks reception to celebrate the relocation and the end of Term One.
