GROW@KS2 Literacy is an accredited school-based literacy programme for children in Years 3 and 4 who are working below the average of their peers.
It involves a short series of one-to-one lessons for around 10 weeks with a specially trained teacher. Key features of the programme include:
• a focus on reading and writing as reciprocal processes
• a teaching and learning cycle that promotes the use of talk for literacy
• the child as an active participant in learning.
It provides access to a secure, user-friendly data system for monitoring and reporting.
