Abstract

The paper reports both a theoretical analysis and a comparison of educational tools for computational modelling. It describes three prototype tools developed in the ESRC funded Tools for Exploratory Learning research program for use in empirical studies of children reasoning with the aid of computational tools. It outlines the results obtained by using the tools with children.
