The VERA project is a collaboration between CIRCAh and the University of Reading's Roman Silchester project. The project is directed by Mark Baker of Reading University, and Claire Warwick and Melissa Terras are Associate Directors. Our part in the project will be to investigate the way that the archaeologists use Virtual Research Environments and the Silchester VRE to organise and analyse the vast amount of data produced on the Silchester dig.

The project is funded by JISC and will run for two years from April 2007. This builds on CIRCAh's established expertise in the area of user studies and e-science research.

The official VERA website, featuring a regularly updated blog, contains further information about the project.
