Head of Centre: Professor Mary Collins

OUR MISSION is the study of persistent viral diseases of humans. From a better understanding of virus biology and the host response, we aim to improve diagnosis and treatment of viral disease and to provide an outstanding research training environment.

Our research is supported by a 5-year Centre grant from the MRC. This award funds core research staff and infrastructure for next-generation sequencing, small molecule screening, biobank and immune-monitoring capabilities and our “Bench to Bedside” PhD programme
