The Biomedical Imaging Doctoral Training Programme is a 4-year PhD programme.
In the first year students are registered for an MRes degree in Medical and Biomedical Imaging. They study a selection of taught courses drawn from existing Masters level courses as well as undertaking a significant research project. Students who successfully complete the first year of the Programme are awarded an MRes degree and progress to the second year of the programme. Entry direct to the second year of this programme is possible for students who already have relevant Masters level training or equivalent, as the discretion of the Programme Directors.
During the second, third and fourth years of the project students conduct the research projects that form the basis of their PhD theses.
